A woman investigators said caused a crash that seriously injured a paramedic on Valentines Day was distracted because she was using a cell phone, a recently-released Florida Highway Patrol report shows. Winter Garden resident Ada Santos was driving the westbound 2005 Hyundai that struck Orange County Fire Rescue engineer paramedic Chad Lowrey and four others. Lowrey, 37, was trying to transport the victim of a motorcycle crash in Oakland on State Road 50 east of Deer Island Road. He was released from Orlando Regional Medical Center on Friday, his wife Nikki Lowrey said Tuesday |
