Federal investigators are now looking into last week's fatal ambulance crash in Bennington. Longtime EMT Dale Long, 49, was killed when his ambulance went off the West Road and hit a tree. A patient and another person in the ambulance were also hurt. In an uncommon move-- but one due to the seriousness of the crash-- the state of Vermont has requested that the National Highway Safety Traffic Administration join in the investigation and try and figure out why Long went off the road. |
