911 dispatchers in Mingo County report that an ambulance has been involved in an accident with a coal truck. It happened just before 5 p.m. Monday on Route 65 in Lenore. A 911 dispatcher tells WSAZ.com that there was a patient on board at the time of the crash --- and that three people are reported to have minor injuries. One victim is being flown to the hospital for precautionary reasons, while the other two are being transported to local hospitals, according to the dispatcher. The dispatcher says the ambulance is a Stat Ambulance. Route 65 was closed at the location of the accident for a while, but it's now back open. |
