The condition of a crewman critically hurt in the crash of a medical helicopter near Ash Fork is improving and he is now listed in serious condition. Jonathan Collier with Air Evac Inc. says the flight paramedic had surgery after Friday's crash but is now doing much better. He called Saturday's developments "very good news" and says they are encouraged he will continue to recover. The paramedic was the most seriously hurt among the three men on the chopper. A flight nurse is listed in serious condition at a Flagstaff hospital and the pilot is expected to be released soon. The chopper went down while landing to pick up a patient early Friday in a field outside Ash Fork. |
