Patient struggles with medics, jumps onto U.S. 35, report says - Ohio
Fairborn emergency medical personnel transporting a patient to Miami Valley Hospital called for police when the patient began fighting with them in the ambulance and later jumped out onto U.S. 35, according to a Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center sergeant.
Riverside police were called to U.S. 35 westbound near the Woodman Avenue exit at about 7:15 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19, the sergeant said. The Fairborn medical personnel reported struggling with the patient, who tried to escape the crews before he was put back into the ambulance and transported to the hospital. It was not immediately clear why medical crews were tending to the patient.
Riverside police are expected to pursue criminal charges against the patient, and an officer followed the ambulance to the hospital, the sergeant said.
No other information was immediately available.
