Would-be patient threatens paramedics - Canada

WINNIPEG - Paramedics who answered a medical emergency call in St. Boniface earlier this morning were chased from the home by a gun-toting man refusing treatment.

The incident happened in the 100 block of Chandos Avenue. The paramedics called police, who eventually arrested a 22-year-old man and seized two BB guns.

The man has been charged with pointing a firearm, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
He is being held in custody at the Remand Centre.

The paramedics were not injured in the incident.
