Feds Investigate Bennington Ambulance Crash - Vermont
Federal investigators are now looking into last week's fatal ambulance crash in Bennington.
Longtime EMT Dale Long, 49, was killed when his ambulance went off the West Road and hit a tree. A patient and another person in the ambulance were also hurt.
In an uncommon move-- but one due to the seriousness of the crash-- the state of Vermont has requested that the National Highway Safety Traffic Administration join in the investigation and try and figure out why Long went off the road.
