Ambulance hit, totaled - Alaska
A Guardian Flight ambulance responding to a crash on the Glenn Highway between Anchoarge and Palmer was destroyed when it was hit by a truck.
The $200,000 ambulance was parked on the Knik River Bridge Sunday morning when a pickup pulling a trailer lost control and smashed into the vehicle, Alaska State Troopers said.
The pickup, driven by Wesley Rogers of Anchorage, then a hit a truck involved in the original crash.
Rogers was cited for speeding. The total damage resulting from the crash is estimated at $218,000.
