Ambulance Crash Log

Salem woman crashes into ambulance - Oregon
A Salem woman's vehicle collided with an ambulance on Lancaster Drive NE Wednesday morning,

Northbound traffic had stopped to allow an ambulance to turn left across the road and go south, Salem police Officer Mitch Mason said.

The woman, who was driving up the center turn lane, didn't see the ambulance and her vehicle collided with it. The crash occurred at 10:38 a.m. in the 1900 block of Lancaster Drive NE, Mason said.

The driver was taken to Salem Hospital by another ambulance, Mason said. Neither vehicle was badly damaged, and the ambulance crew was not hurt.

The driver, Efigenia Aisparo, 49, will be cited for misuse of a turn lane, Mason said.
