Canada's first ambulance museum opens - Canada
The Southwestern Ontario Ambulance and Emergency Services Museum opened with a new building, looking like a dispatch centre, and 11 ambulances ranging in age from 18 to 71 years old.
A new historic attraction here could make a lot of people ambulance chasers. Canada's first-ever ambulance museum officially opened Friday, on the rural grounds of the Canadian Transportation Museum & Historic Village, adding a rare emergency-service dimension to the sprawling site's vintage vehicle experience.
