Allina Medical Transportation is one of Minnesota's largest ambulance services, providing 9-1-1 EMS coverage to over 800,000 people in the central and southeast regions of the state. AMT employs more than 400 EMS and support professionals. 

In addition to emergency service, AMT also provides scheduled and wheelchair service throughout the region. AMT operates it own modern communications center, providing dispatch services for its own service areas and that of other regional ambulance services. AMT supports a fleet of nearly 100 vehicles with its own vehicle maintenance facility and it business office provides billing and collections services for AMT's 45,000 plus ambulance runs each year

PARAMEDIC

(20 Paramedic Openings)

40/hour per week

Start Date:  April 21, 2008

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·        MN paramedic certification by June 5th, 2008

·        Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

·        ACLS

·        PEPP/PALS certified

·        CPR Certified

·        Able to interact and to provide emergency treatment to 911 and non-emergency patients in an ambulance/field environment

·        Medical terminology required

·        Able to lift 200 lb patient with another partner

·        Able to push/pull 50 lb frequently

·        Good interpersonal communication skills

·        Excellent documentation skills

·        Strong map reading skills

·        Ability to work  in a high volume environment

·        Compatible with Allina Mission, Vision, Values in striving for excellent patient care and a positive work environment

 

2008 Compensation $17.35/hour
