Feedback: EMS A-Z Series

Feedback: (and question) EMS A-Z Series .... "I" – Infection Control… (Yawn)

Hello Jim Hoffman:

Your item regarding infection control was great! I've worked in EMS for more than three decades, and it makes me sick to see somebody using the restroom, and have the gall to walk out (including many EMS personnel, as well!) without a thought about washing their hands. Oh yes, when that next person shakes your hand, think for a moment of where it was 5 minutes ago.

One last thought...On the other end of the scale, have you ever worked around personnel who get a bit carried away with disinfectant spray, etc.?

Often, they seem to create a greater danger with overuse, than the very problem they sprayed for in the first place! Keep up the great work.

Frank Peck
