Working in a vacuum sucks
Working in a vacuum sucks, so Thanks to ALL of you who sent suggestions.

Due to an upgrade and some changes at EMSN, we asked for feedback. Our gratitude to those who replied; we got some great suggestions- and some very nice compliments. Here are some of the changes suggested and our reply.

State news links:
Many of you used the USA state news page links to target your states news.
We had eliminated that section, but now it is back by popular demand! We do not have a permanent link yet on the navigation menu, but you can access it from the front page until we do.

Double link:
Delivered headlines linking to EMSN summary, but having to link again to source/full article.
We implemented direct links to article from delivery. It takes us longer and we may lose some visitors to the actual site, but seems worth it as long as the numbers stay high.

Font size:
Email delivered news and web site font to small:  Implemented a larger font.

Links to sources that require registration to read
We try to find other non-registered sources for same the news, but we cannot always do so. (We truly understand the annoyance- that's why EMSN is free of registration)  We looked into buying into reprint permissions, but it is far too costly for this volunteer organization.

Animal Rescue Responder; New Zealand; College EMS and Lifeguards:
Animal articles we will use to be related to those also in human EMS
Lifeguard EMS responder, NZ and college EMS articles will be sought out. (but if readers find any, do please send us the URL.
(Did u Know: According to Giovanni Serrano, Ft. Lauderdale, FL Ocean Rescue/EMT: For the last 6 years (maybe longer) lifeguards have taken one of the top 3 places at Clincon International EMS competition.)

Time of delivery:
One person wrote, ''..earlier news .. EMSN is the best …I'd rather just read your news.'' It takes time to offer more.  Also, EMSN is Alaska based - 1 to 4 hours time difference- so as much as I appreciate my readers, I am not getting up at 0400.)

EMSN suggested: sub categories for Human Interest into individuals type articles and awards type articles; hospital section (ER type news) and a Legal section. Many agreed, so we'll be implementing this in the near future.

Yep, working in a vacuum sucks, so again, thanks to all who wrote.
