He was the husband of Ruth Ann Shirk Sauder. They would have been married 13 years in March. Born in Lancaster, he was a son of Aaron Z. and Lydia M. Horning Sauder, Leola.

David worked as a machinist and was a partner in the Sauder Machine Shop, Leola. He was a member of the Groffdale Mennonite Church (Groffdale Conference), Leola; and was an 18 year member of Bareville Fire Co., and a 16 year member of the Leola Ambulance Association.

Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are: four daughters, Karen L.; Lorraine A.; Kathleen D.; and Janelle R., all at home; one son, David R., at home; the following brothers and sister, Linus H., married to Mary Martin Sauder of Plymouth, Ohio; Norman H., married to Susie Newswanger Sauder, of Leola; and Eva Jane, married to Emory Martin, Lititz.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday, February 18th at the late home.

Funeral services will be held at noon from the late home on Monday, Feb. 19th with further services at the Groffdale (Frame) Mennonite Church at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. Furman Home for Funerals, Leola.
