The twin engine, propeller-driven Cessna 414 crashed at John Murtha Johnstown-Cambria County Airport at about 3:55 p.m., the Federal Aviation Administration said. The plane, registered to Wharf Place LLC, in Morgantown, W.Va., was en route from Morgantown to Teterboro. Kwiatkowski said the plane was a medical flight going to New Jersey to pick up a patient, although it wasn’t clear what the plane’s final destination was. FAA officials said icing may have been a factor in the crash. The pilot had indicated there was a problem and was cleared for an emergency landing in Johnstown, authorities said. |
