A car pulling out of a gas station on the White Horse Pike today struck an ambulance carrying two patients, forcing the ambulance into a nearby utility pole, police said.

The accident occurred just after noon near the intersection with the Gloucester Pike, according to Lawnside Police Sgt. Wayne Hill.

The ambulance, from Bellmawr, had two EMTs, both of whom were taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

The driver of the car and the ambulance's patients, a mother and daughter, were taken to a local hospital.

The identities of the drivers and the passengers were not immediately available.
