FULLTIME EMT POSITONS AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY
Regional E.M.S is currently looking for EMT’s for our station in Lac La Biche, Alberta
Regional E.M.S. is providing competitive wages and benefits.

Casual positions are available as well.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES

• Provide safe and effective delivery of service to our cliental at the BLS level, also able to work with ALS to provide an excellence in patient care.

• Serve as an exemplary role model and clinician in all aspects and requirements of an EMT.

• Contributes to the development of programs, organizational standards, policies and procedures.

• Ensure excellence with patient care at all times through review of PCR’s and quality assurance programs.

• Respond to emergency situations requiring direct patient care maintaining a professional demeanor and attitude at all times.

• Assist with indoctrinating both new staff and students as required (Regional EMS works closely with Portage College) to Regional EMS’s system and EMS in general.

• Other administrative and operational duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Certification as an EMT-A with current registration from Alberta College of Paramedics

• Current certification in CPR and BTLS (extra certifications an asset)

• Current drivers abstract with less than 6 demerits

• Current criminal records check (clear) with vulnerable sector check (clear)

Hours of Work

Currently schedule is a 6-day on 6-day off rotation.  Working three dayshifts at 10 hrs first up-14 hour second up for nightshift, then three nightshifts at 14 hr (Sleeping allowed unless on calls) first up-10 hours second up to dayshift
