A team of emergency health technicians from Penn State University Health Services finished second in a national competition last month.
The competition, part of a National Collegiate Emergency Medical Services Foundation conference in Baltimore, tested the EMTs' clinical and leadership skills.
Also at the conference, Penn State EMT Holly Emanuel won the Richard W. Vomacka Student Speaker Competition. Emanuel is a Penn State senior.
Another Penn State senior, Katrina Kissman, won a contest that tests cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills. She is an assistant volunteer supervisor for the University Ambulance Service.
