Services: 10:30 a.m., Saturday at the Logan Church of Christ.
Joe David Green, 74, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, in Pampa, Texas, following an extended illness. Mr. Green was born May 3, 1932 in Shattuck, Okla. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. The former Logan, N.M., resident, operated his own boat repair shop while living in Logan for a number of years. He had been an active member of the Logan Church of Christ. He had also been a active member of the Logan Volunteer Ambulance.
Mr. Green had lived most recently in Vega, Texas, with his wife, Virginia, until his health required him to live in Pampa for care. Surviving Mr. Green are his wife, Virginia Kennedy-Green of Vega; his son, Raymond Green of Amarillo, Texas; his brother Arthur Green of Amarillo; two step sons, Bud (Sharon) Kennedy of Bartlesville, Okla., and Dan (Carolyn) Kennedy of Canyon, Texas; and two step daughters, Jenny Kennedy Davis and Margie Kennedy (Dave) Beal of Amarillo. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Josefina H. Green in 1996, and by his father and mother, Eugene L. and Jessie Green. Stanley Newton, minister of the Logan Church of Christ, will officiate at the service.
Following his wishes, Joe Green has been cremated. The family suggests for those who wish, donations may be made to the Church of Christ Childrens Home in Portales, N.M., in memory of Joe D. Green.
Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.
