The City of Platteville, Wisconsin, is seeking an Emergency Medical Services Administrator. Platteville is 20 miles NE of Dubuque, Iowa and 55 miles SW of Madison, WI along U.S. 151. The department has 25-30 “paid volunteer” employees with a 2007 budget of $404,175. Platteville is a college community with outstanding quality of life and cultural/recreational amenities. The administrator directs service operations and is responsible for budget, human resources, compliance with medical standards, promotion and outreach, development of departmental policies and objectives, and daily oversight activities. A bachelor’s degree with two years work experience and licensure as Wisconsin EMT are required. EMT-Intermediate licensure strongly preferred. Hiring range $36-40,000/year.
