A 17-year-old driver was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle Sunday evening after his car rear-ended a Bremerton Fire Department ambulance
His injuries were unknown late Sunday.
The Bremerton Fire Department was called around 6:13 p.m. after two firefighters had loaded an elderly male patient into the back of an ambulance near Northeast Sylvan Way and Olympus Drive Northeast in east Bremerton.
They had strapped the patient in, closed the door and were tending to him when they were rear-ended by a car driven by the teen, said Bremerton Fire Department spokeswoman Elaine Valencia.
The two firefighters and the elderly patient were taken to Harrison Medical Center. Their conditions were unknown, but none had life-threatening injuries.
