Robert Reynolds, 38, who served the Los Molinos Volunteer Fire Department for eight years died in an automobile accident on Saturday, April 29.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. today at the Los Molinos Veterans Hall, 7980 Sherwood Blvd.
Reynolds left behind his wife Tammi, daughters Nicole and Caitlyn and son Logan.
Although Reynolds did not die in the line of duty, area firefighters will attend the memorial service in Class A uniforms to show their respect.
Reynolds and his family have lived in Los Molinos since 1996. He was born in Dallas, Texas, attended schools in New York and graduated high school and college in Anchorage, Alaska. He received his emergency medical technician certification while living in Los Molinos.
Early Saturday, Reynolds was traveling to Chico on Highway 99E when his pickup ran into the trailer of a big rig, the California Highway Patrol report said. The impact sheared off the pickup's windshield and roof. Reynold's vehicle continued south, crashing through a chain-link fence, then ran into statues and benches at Dos Amigos Cement and Statuary.
