An ambulance driver was injured Wednesday after hitting a massive pothole during an emergency run.
It happened in the 1000 block of South Peoria Street.
The driver was backing out of a driveway when the ambulance hit the pothole, injuring the driver and another technician inside.
Chicago Fire Department crews transported the elderly patient in the ambulance to the hospital, as well as the driver who complained of neck injuries.
Neighbors said they have complained about the pothole in the past.
